Lewis and Clark Trail on the Air

The Lewis and Clark Trail on the Air special event is an on air activity that commemorates the historic Lewis and Clark Trail. The trail covers 4900 miles through 16 states. This includes the disembarkation from Camp Dubois and what is referred to as the Eastern Legacy. The event is sponsored by the Clark County Amateur Radio Club with support and participation from clubs in all 16 states along the historic trail.
Event Summary : The event is over and our club did very well. We had 7 club members activate for the event. We had a total of 1923 contacts and 109.7 hours of activation. The Club Call did make contact with all 16 states. The average contact per hour of activation was 17.5/hr. Contacts were made in SSB voice and FT8 Digital.
North Dakota as a state had the 4th largest number of contacts. The approximate number of total contacts made for the even as of 6/17/2025 was 57,996 contacts. Our state made 8.26% of all contacts.
